Program vs Project Management 

Many commercial activities are centered on programs and projects.
In order to fulfill objectives and ultimately deliver a finished good or service, projects might be compared to trains driven by project managers.

Keeping with the analogy, a program is comparable to a network of trains traveling over several tracks in the same general direction.
The numerous project trains are led by the program manager, who serves as the station conductor.
